For this part I observed the Scranton Commons on campus. I sat with girls in my sorority and observed other tables around us. When I was observing the tables around us I began to see a similar party. It was 5:00 for dinner at the commons and it was pretty busy. The lines were getting longer and the tables were getting full. Around me I noticed the one table was the boys baseball team because they were all wearing boys baseball shirts. Then when I got up to get food I noticed that other people in Greek Life were sitting with each other again I could tell because many of them were wearing their Greek letters on their shirt. The ones that were not wearing their Greek letters I just assumed they were apart of the organization as well even though that may not be true. I then saw the football team walk in together, again I noticed the shirts they were wearing. I then tried to look for more people that may have been from an organization. I then saw boys that were sitting together that were very muscular and big and thought maybe they were a part of a sports team or close friends that lifted weights together. I then looked for more groups like that and saw a group of girls that were all blond and very skinny. Though there were groups like these I saw some groups that were very diverse with Hispanics, Whites, and African Americans along with gender differences.

The data I collected suggests to me about college life that many people join sports and Greek life to join people that they can relate to and have fun with and become great friends with. They eat their meals together because they are good friends because they spend many hours together at a practice or maybe meetings. People who aren't in a similar activity may find friends that may have the same interests or like the same things like style or working out. But others do not fit this mold and have friends that may be in the same activities or like all the same things they may come together because of their differences.
